Sustainable Solution for Farthings
Nestled in the West Sussex countryside is Farthings; a country house and smallholding with a sustainable twist. With energy prices only set to rise and an increasing awareness of the need to fight global warming, Charles and his family commissioned Elementum to help them take decisive action by installing a new solar array and battery storage.
Elementum installed a new 8.8kW solar PV system and created a mini plant room in an existing annexe. This plant room houses 10kWh of battery storage to support the new solar PV system and the existing 4kW of solar energy.
The additional power generation and new battery storage drastically reduce the property’s reliance on fossil fuel grid power. What’s more, Charles and his family also have the reassurance of whole-home backup power during power cuts.
